43rd International Map Collector's Society Symposium
The 43rd International Map Collector's Society Symposium
Symposium will take place in Japan from 9 to 13 November 2026, with the theme “Early Interactions between the Western World and Japan Seen through Historical Maps.”
For the Symposium, the International Map Collectors’ Society (IMCoS) will be joined with the Japan Cartographers Association (JCA) and the International Research Center for Japanese Studies (Nichibunken).
Presentations and map viewings will take place at two venues, Tokyo and Kyoto.
The program will include excursions on the 10th and 13th, a pre-tour on the 8th, and a post-tour on the 14th-15th.
